Forty-six Millburn High School students and one Millburn Middle School students have won a total of 47 awards in this year's Scholastic Art and Writing competition. The competition is the longest running, most prestigious art competition in the nation for students in grades 7-12. Students in Millburn Township submit their entries through the Montclair Art Museum, which operates as the Regional Affiliate for the Northern New Jersey Region.
According to the museum's email to award recipients, over 1,462 students submitted works this year and there were over 1300 winners in the categories of Gold, Silver and Honorable Mention. Students who won a Gold Key will have their work exhibited at the Montclair Art Museum's Vance Wall Art Education Center Galleries, 3 South Mountain Avenue, Montclair, NJ from Thursday, February 23rd through Sunday, March 26th.
